Advantages of Paper Based Planner - 2

Few weeks back I have written one tip where I discussed some advantages of paper based planner. [1]

I wanted to discuss another major advantage I found with this. Using a Planner you can organize information you will need. Take extra care to jot down information in planner and you can save precious time. 

Have you ever been frustrated with misplaced information? I have been able to avoid this frustration and save precious time by using paper based planner to store information.

Whenever see others are disorganized with their information and keep misplacing information, I do hope others do get organized also. 

Couple of weeks back I sent my phone number to someone who wanted to contact me. And again after a few weeks I was asked the phone number again. How do you feel when such things happen? Are you one of them? Do you misplace information or do you have all important information stored properly. By keeping my address book updated, I ensure I have all contact information. It hardly takes an extra minute to jot down information but sometimes may be hours to get back lost information. 

I also found this practice came in handy many times. I write down important personal information also in my personal organizer. And lot of times while doing some other work I need this information and I am able to access information within minutes without having to scramble a lot. 

Recently I had to fill out online information for one of my family members and I would have been stuck if I didn't note the information in my organizer. I was able to complete a task without having postpone it for lack of information or having to make calls. 

Information that goes into "Information" section of my planner include

- Address Book
- Personal Information: Various Membership Numbers and Card Numbers
- Web Accounts which I am likely to forget. In most cases we try to create accounts which we can remember. But some sites are not so friendly and force us to create accounts that are not easy to remember. 

This all fits into a bigger task called "Get Organized".
