New Year Resolutions Around New year season you will see news items, articles and even jokes about New Year Resolutions. Some strongly recommend it and some make fun of it. Jokes like "I made a resolution not to make any more resolutions" keep floating around. In my opinion, we all need an occasion once a year to do some serious thinking about our life, our achievements and what we want to become. If you are not used to setting personal goals regularly, there are chances that you are going about your life without an aim and probably after sometime you will regret it. People who had made such mistakes might have suggested/started this ritual of making resolutions at least once a year (if you find lesser frequency a burden). You can choose your own special annual event to do that. You can choose make your resolutions on your birthday or any other day of your choice. New Year Resolutions became a suggested ritual because New Year is a special event everywhere in the world and this is the time. If you are not used to regular goal setting, I suggest you should try this. Before I started using my time management kit and started setting monthly goals, I used to set New Year Resolutions. I used to spent couple of hours on 31st December OR on 1st January preparing a summary report of what I accomplished in last one year and start listing what I would like to accomplish and improvements I would like to make. I strongly suggest setting resolutions without getting worried about the jokes and hype around it. Some suggested resolutions from Time Management Perspective
