Go Electronic and Online wherever possible

Take advantage of electronic features being provided by businesses and simplify your life

Behind all new technological advances of  Internet, e-commerce, wireless etc. is the basic of idea of making people achieve more with less. They are aimed at making life of everyone easy. But we are skeptic and don't adopt to those technological advances very easily. 

My thinking process was somewhat like this: If I am a software developer and someone hesitates to use I am developing (which is aimed at making the user more efficient) I would treat the user as an ignorant and stupid. 

Going by the same argument when business organizations are creating new ways of helping customers to save time, it would be stupid of me not to use them. 

After such a thinking process, I started using all such facilities and I also recommend the same to everyone. 

A year ago I used to write 10 checks per month towards various utilities and used to receive all bills by mail/post. I signed up for automatic billing (to either credit card or bank account) for almost all the services and also signed up for e-bill (online bill and no paper bill) where available. This way I have cut down my checks per month to 2 and number of bills to 5. I have less clutter at home and I don't have to bother about remembering to make payments. 

Though  I am currently staying in US and talking about convenience in US, I know even in India such conveniences are available. I remember signing up for automatic payment for credit card bill and also aware of automatic bill payment for telephone bill. And I am sure lot of things have changed in last 1.5 years even in India. 

I also think by going electronic there is better efficiency for everyone. If I sign up for electronic payment there is one less bill to be sent by the company, two less mails to be delivered by Postal department (one bill and one payment), one less check to write, less hassle for me and less worry for me. 

It is a win-win situation. Isn't it?

Sign up for automatic bill payment or e-bill if you have hesitated in the past and be happy with less clutter and peace of mind.
