Careers and Talents

I have covered lot of specific career opportunities in my earlier articles. But one aspect that kept coming back to me is
we should use our talents to build a career. A talent that can be nurtured can make a career and living.
Examples of Talent based Careers are:
Acting, Singing, Dancing and other related roles in Entertainment Industry
Writing, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Poetry, Photography and many more.
Playing a Sport
When we think of possibilities there are a lot. If we don't nurture our talents and try to make a living through other means,
we loose focus on our talents.
I remember telling some of friends to continue to develop their talents like writing, playing chess and drawing cartoons and take
it seriously, they were not focused on them. But I really felt, if they really tried a little harder, they can make it a career.
Why use a talent to build a career?
If one's career is based on in born talent, chances of success are high. Using in born talent at work makes it is very easy.
Sometimes I feel I could have been a writer. I still think there is a chance in future where I can use this skill to be a writer!! Watch out.
Coming back to the topic:
Either at the time of starting on a career goal or after starting out on a career, someday we will start wondering about purpose of life.
How are we living our life? Am I making best out of my life. We feel good and best about every day only when we are recognized
for what we are than for than what we do. To show what we are we need to use our talents.
While some of us might be focused on a white collar job and look forward to working towards our living, there are many people
who start out early and start to build a talent based a career.
Look around and you will see them every where. Can you be like them? Can you use your talent to build a career?
1. You are a talented talker and may be you can get into talk shows and be a host.
2. You are a talented actor. You might consider joining movies or tv shows
3. You are a talented singer. You might consider releasing cassettes and take singing as a full time job.
4. You are a talented writer. Write books. Use your creative talents to write stories, articles for magazines and so on.
5. You are expert photographer. May be you can become a photo journalist.
One risk associated with talent based careers is there are so many aspiring to grow, you need to prove yourself. You need
nurture your talent. You should not give up easily.
Every career option has its own risks and also benefits. This option is certainly not for weak-hearted
