Everyone one us have gained lot of experience and wisdom in our life. One of the important thing in life is to share the wisdom. This can keep our spirits alive that we are not only finding our wisdom useful to self but also to others. Different people do this act of sharing wisdom different ways. Some people prefer talking to others. Ever remember pearls of wisdom you heard from your boss, teacher or friend. The advice you receive is the wisdom. 'Knolwedge Management' is a concept that has come up where the wisdom is shared in formal methods within organizations.

 

I found writing as a way of conveying the lessons I have learned. I found this activity very interesting. I want to write more articles as I have so many things to share. But I wait for strong inspiration to do that. Many times I find an idea coming as an inspiration and write an article on that.

 

One can write articles related to work: tips, concepts learned and practiced.

Family and Friends: Moments you spent with family or friends and how you enjoyed them as experiences

Self:  You can write on your ideas, thought process, spiritual ideas, philosophy or personal experiences.

 

Overcome the initial resistance

 

Though many of us have the idea of writing articles, we tend to put it off as we have not yet done it before. Don't worry. Someday you have to start. This is the right time. Make a beginning. It only take 10-15 minutes to put your first draft on paper OR on your word document. Write your first draft. Then make corrections. Once you have written and published your first article, you will get lot of enthusiasm. Overcome your initial resistance NOW. Do it NOW. Don't wait for a PERFECT day and time.

 

Publishing on my homepage

 

I am making an offer for all of you to share your views through my homepage.

 

The following are two main motivations to do this.

 

Effort Required: Everyone can start their own homepage and publish their articles. But it takes lot of time and effort to get going. Since I already have a homepage that is designed, incorporating articles by you can be done with minimum effort. It will save to effort of creating your own homepage. You can create your own homepage when you get time for that. But don't hold your writings from being published till you do that. So you can send articles/poems that you want to share with others and don't have time to put them on web to me and I will publish them on my site.

 

Easy Distribution: I have a fixed set of repeat visitors who share similar ideas. So you don't have to create your own personal mailing list and start mailing them. My mailing list has grown over years and many of them know what to expect on my homepage. So by publishing articles your articles you can reach the same set of people and get to read them.

 

Why I am explaining this is: your articles will reach people who will most probably read because they have similar interests and do not ignore them. So make use of this opportunity to publish your articles till you get started with your own homepage.

 

Again everything is done with the spirit of SHARE WHAT YOU KNOW which is main motivation for my homepage
