Relive those MOMENTS Kishore C.S. (November 2000) Are you bored? Do feel low
on morale? Are you stressed? Don’t know what you want to do for couple of
hours? Then try this…. Take all the photo albums
in your house. Start going through each photograph and Relive those MOMENTS. Look at a photo If possible, do this with
someone who can spend sometime with you (may be your spouse or friend). Narrate
what you recollect. This is exactly the thing I
did sometime a few days ago. I went through all photos for more than an hour. - I saw photos from my
childhood. Though I cannot recollect the exact moments at such a young age, the
fact that I have been in a situation makes me feel so different. I had class
photos when I was in LKG and the next class photo I had in my collection is
only from my 8th Standard. Somehow I never got the class photos for
intermediate years. I can hardly recognize myself in my LKG photo. I have all
the photos from 8th Standard onwards and when I look at my friends
they look so different. - My photos with family
during childhood consists of the visits to grand parents place where we used to
play a lot and enjoy summer. We also visited our relatives during summer and
all the photos during those occasions also bring back those MOMENTS. I saw the photos I had with
my school friends. I don’t even know where some of them are now. But
recollection of those moments certainly lifted my spirits. I saw the photos with my
bachelors and masters degree and recollected fun of those days and shared the
same with my wife. I compared old photos with new photos and there is so much
difference. THEN and NOW is a good way of comparing what change has come out in
all the years. Then I moved on to my
Engagement and Marriage photos. Photos on these occasions are too many so went
through those photos a little faster. Then opened the album that
contained my daughter’s growing years. So many photos taken during past few
years brings back the kind of pride I had on all those occasion when I asked my
daughter to pose for a photo. Even my daughter loves going through all her
photos and glees with joy. Of course, I also browsed
through the photos which I took on my foreign trips and again narrate about the
places to my wife. After the time I have spent
doing this, I felt very relaxed. I sure recommend this a good relaxation
technique. Of course, you can’t do this very frequently. Maybe, once in 6
months is a good idea. Caution: Don’t do this
when you are in a hurry. Don't try to complete this in one hour. |
