This article explains how and why I consider some of my life experiences as spiritual experiences. Read this before reading the spiritual experiences.

What are Spiritual Experiences?

Spiritual experiences are the way by which we experience Grace of Lord. These life situations can be treated as coincidences by a non-believer. But these are the blessings by Lord for the believer. Consider these experiences in your personal life and mentally go through the experiences personally. Then you will realize that these are truly Lord’s practical blessings.

Higher spiritual experiences may be having a vision of GOD and attaining samadhi. But for normal citizens like me a spiritual experience is an event in my life where a divine grace helped me live my life with lesser trouble.

How do you convince yourself whether the following are divine blessings and not just coincidences?

- Read the experience narrated

- Tell the experience without the ‘divine’ part of it to someone

- Observe the other persons reaction? If the other person says ‘he was lucky’ or ‘that is rare to happen’ then you can trust that as divine intervention

- There are certain emotions that are attached to these experience. It is very easy to discount other person’s problem as non-problem because we don’t identify ourselves with the person. But when you start identifying ourselves with the person narrating the same, you will really understand the other person went through and why he say’s it is divine grace.

What is importance of these spiritual experiences?

As I put my experiences in words and read them over and over again, it makes me feel blessed to have received Grace of Lord and it sustains my faith. Otherwise, being egoistic, I can claim all my blessings as my achievements and luck and boast of the same to everyone. But I realize that all these experiences certainly happened because of Lord’s Grace, it keeps my faith alive and I feel happy sharing my experiences. As I said in my ‘Count your blessings’ article, I would say these are all blessings that I received which go a long way in strengthening my TRUST and FAITH in GOD.

I TRUST HIM ALWAYS. FOR THE GRACE I HAVE RECEIVED FROM LORD. I WOULD BE ASHAMED OF MYSELF IF DOUBT ENTERS MY MIND ABOUT HIS EXISTENCE EVEN FOR ONE SECOND.

Does everyone experiences similar experiences?

Yes. I am not the single person on the earth receiving such divine grace just because I am sharing them. Everyone in their struggle for spiritual enlightenment is experiencing the grace with help of their Gurus. I have come across books where such experiences are narrated. There are also a few websites (Vikraman, Siddhashram) where such experiences are narrated. And also my relatives and friends who have taken initiation from my Guruji, have also experienced changes in their life and also experienced similar events. There will be a time where I may take help of them to spread their experiences in future.

Keep an open mind while reading the experiences and these are narrated as it came to my mind and hence may sound incoherent because of the emotions involved while narrating the experience. Do let me know your feelings by writing to me.
