Spiritual Experiences (Part-12) Kishore Early morning plight During month of December 2000, we went to Hyderabad and from there to Rajahmundry. Since I used to stay in Madras and most of the times my journey was to either Hyderabad or Rajahmundry and it was long time since I made this journey between Hyderabad and Rajahmundry. We boarded train in Hyderabad and managed to get comfortable berths. The train reaches Rajahmundry at 5 AM. We were up and waiting for the station. Rajahmundry has two stations: Godavari Station and Rajahmundry station. The train stopped at Godavari Station and we got down. We could not find any porter who can help us with our luggage. So we (my daughter was still sleepy and was complaining) managed to get out and looked for rickshaw or auto. I was dismayed to find none. I wondered how come there is no one though the train has arrived. We had to walk a few hundred meters. There were many more people like us who got down and are all searching for vehicles. I walked ahead and woke up a rickshaw puller who was sleeping. Once the rickshaw puller got up he was not ready to come. By this time other eager passengers started to ask him to take them. There was 'competition'. Since it was early morning everyone wanted to get the rickshaw puller so that they can get home at the earliest. I don't know how it happened, but despite all the requests from others, the rickshaw puller agreed to my request and we managed to get home. I remember the envious looks from others from whom we managed to get the rickshaw puller to take us. After going home I asked my father, how is it that there are no autos and vehicles around when the train from Hyderabad arrived. Then my father told me that the train is not supposed to stop at Godavari Station and stops only at Rajahmundry station. It must have stopped because of some signal and everyone got down. I was not aware of this fact since I have not traveled this route for long time as I explained. As I recollect this I realized that my family was fortunate to get this unique experience where we received grace of God. It was God who helped us. Related Experience: We get good berths. Jai Sriram, Jai Hanuman. |
