Views: Years to Grow, Minutes to Go
A few of days back early morning we were rudely awakened by a loud buzzing noise next to our apartment. I saw that Gardening people are working on a tree that stands outside our apartment. I thought they are just trimming the tree but after a minutes I saw that the entire tree was cut down. We felt very sad. This tree has been outside our window giving shade for a few years and seeing it go within a few minutes, made us miss it.
As I was thinking about it, the phrase that crossed by mind was "Years to Grow, Minutes to Go". It is difficult to nurture and grow anything. It takes years to shape up into what it is and in one quick step everything can go away. This applies to human life as well when death comes unexpectedly and takes away everything that was there. Lot of other things fall under this category are Reputation, Brand Image, Quality, Career Success. And a moment carelessness can spoil all of them. It is difficult to build and easier to destroy. Anyone can destroy but not everyone can build.
What have you built over years?
What are the seeds you have planted and nurtured.
Take a moment to think about it.

Kishore, As I have read your postings over the years, the more spiritual they become! This posting, though not mentioning directly spirit or god is full of the same! It is amazing how you saw this symbol (tree being cut) and materialized it into something meaningful (years to grow, minutes to go). I am sure you find so much meaning in your life like this. Does it ever feel overwhelming or are you used to it and it is natural?
Regards,
Jayanthi
